Mini Fabric Flowers || Tiny Fabric Flowers

Hello, welcome to my channel! In this video, I'm going to show you how to make this flower Up until now, this is probablythe smallest fabric flower I can make and here you can see how I use thisflower on my handmade headband and they are really tiny! I use lining fabric for this flower and to cut such small piece of fabric, I usesoldering iron These are my flower templates. To make bigger flower, weuse bigger template and now I'm going to show you how I cut my fabric with thissmallest template So we heat up the soldering iron and start cutting If you haven't watched my tutorial about cutting fabric with soldering iron, please see the description below I even show how to make our own template We cut it not too slow and not too fast Lining fabric is quite easy to cutcompared to satin and crepe fabric With soldering iron, we can cut any shape andany size out of fabric from smallest to biggest and what I love about thissoldering iron is we cut and seal the fabric at the same time. Because we are going to make a tiny flower, 4 pieces of this is enough, but if you wantto make bigger flower you may need more than 4 Now we are done with the cutting We need to burn this fabric and becausethis is too small we may need tweezers Let me show you how it turns out You cansee the shape here Do this to the remaining fabric A little advice on how to burn the fabric,I like to put the fabric about half an inch on tip of the flame, so I'm notusing the side of the flame Now take the needle and thread First, we lay all 3 pieces together Stitch to secure Now take the last piece and embellish ourflower with a bead or rhinestone To work with beads or rhinestones, I preferto stitch than to use hot glue After finished with the bead, we securethe thread and trim it And our tiny flower is done! How to Make Realistic DIY Fabric Roses and Peony Flowers

Hi, DIY Mommies! Today. I'm going to show you how to make a fabric flower, so in this case This is either a fabric peony or a fabric cabbage Rose What you need to make these is This pattern for the petals which you can find on TheDIYMommy.com Just search for "fabric roses"; you'll find it. You need a candle. You need some thread You need scissors You need a needle And you also need some fabric. Now the best fabric is Polyester So that you can singe the edges of the flowers, and I like to use a Polyester satin I've also had good experiences with Polyester organza you can also try fabrics like Acetate lining which singes nicely or polyester lace also works really well. I have used chiffon, but I found that the petals were a bit too floppy though Organza's my favorite I also like combining fabrics, so in this tutorial I'm going to combine The Polyester Satin with a Polyester organza. Let's begin Alright, so what we're going to do first is cut out our petals, so we'll have to take our pattern Now there's four different sizes of petals from a small to a large size and this is what's going to make our flower realistic looking. The small petals are going to be in the center of the flower And the larger petals are going to be on the outside of the flower. Okay, so we are going to cut out Six of each of these four sizes so you're going to have [twenty-four] petals all together. I'm going to cut three Of each size in the satin and I'm going to cut three of each size in my organza. Now the trick that I use that just fold it over so that I just have three layers of fabric Now these don't have to be exact We're going to be burning and curling the edges of these petals anyway, so if there's little rough spots or [Nicks] those are going to be covered up by the curling. Don't worry about being too exact; don't spend too much time. Now I'm going to continue with the other sizes Now I cut three [each of satin and what I would now do is cut three of each of the organza [I] already have some petals from previous projects, so that's done Now's the fun part. This is singeing and curling the edges of these petals, so we take a lit candle Make sure that it's safe I take — one at a time — my fabric petals, and [I'm] just going to put it close to the [lit] flame But not so close that I burn the fabric And I'm going to singe all the way around. See how that's starting to curl and singe? Now, this seals the raw edge of the fabric it also makes my petals look realistic because the petal is going to curve inward. We're going to repeat that with all the petals you just do all 24 petals. This is a really relaxing project; a fantastic project to do while watching Netflix. And there we go we have our 3 of each size in satin, and like I said before I already made some in the Organza of all these sizes. Aren't they so pretty? I think these would be beautiful as is just for a decoration Sprinkle around Okay, now comes the fun part we're going to sew our fabric flower together Okay, to sew our fabric flower, we need our needle and thread I doubled the thread on here just to make it extra strong I am going to choose to make cabbage rose, so I'm going to start with a center that is higher up and the outsides will be lower down, and I'm also not going to gather the petals. You could gather the petals slightly to make a peony. so first off we start with The smallest petal [I'm] going to start with a satin and then do an organza Petal. Satin, organza and rotate between the two I'm going to take it width-wise like this Roll it up And I'm just gonna tack down The bottom with a few stitches like this one I'm going to take that same small size in organza I'm going to wrap it around I'm going to find my seam and I'm going to wrap around that Tack down That's petal number two now remember. We have six petals in each of the sizes so let's do the next one smallest Petal in a Satin So we're starting like I said higher in the center going down, so I'm just going down slightly wrapping it around Tacking down the bottom just with some simple stitches Back to the organza. This is number four That's six of our small sizes. We are high in the center going down Now moving on to the next size. Wrapping it around. So we're [just] kind of overlapping the petals around each other And I ran out [of] the thread, but you can always put a knot in it like this All right, and there we go that is our finished cabbage rose made out of fabric and using a candle, a needle and thread. Now if you wanted to you could add [more] petals to make a fuller rose [if] you're using these [for] a bridal bouquet it's gorgeous to have smaller roses and larger roses on various different sizes and colors [as] well if you want more details on how to make fabric flowers and other fun DIYs you can visit my blog TheDIYMommy.com and Come back soon, and I'll share with you how to make a bridal bouquet with fabric flowers. Thanks so much for watching

How to use a flower stitch presser foot

Hi, I'm An from MadameSew.com. Today I'll show you how to use the flower stitch foot. With this foot you can sew circles. Small circles from a quarter of an inch to circles one inch in size. If you use different stitches and in different colors, or maybe a thread needle, the little circles will look like flowers! You can use this foot on any low shank machine. It's a screw on foot and most domestic machines are low shank, so there's a big chance you will be able to use this foot. I'll show you how! Raise your needle to its highest position and remove your standard presser foot and the presser foot holder… so the screw of the entire foot — not just the snap-on part. This is the flower foot. The flower foot has a large ready base, a driver arm on the right, and a foot clamp to attach the foot onto your presser bar. The adjustment screw on the back left allows you to slide the base from left to right to make circles in various sizes. You move towards the minus sign or the plus sign to make smaller or bigger circles. To attach the flower foot, slide the foot clamp around the presser bar and around the presser foot screw. Make sure to place the driver arm above the needle holder. Now securely tighten the presser foot screw. Make sure to test your needle with your hand wheel. To resume, the driver arm sets above the needle holder, the clamp of the flower stitch foot goes around the presser bar screw. This is the adjustment screw to choose the size of the circles, so you see the minus and the plus sign here. Now, let's try to stitch some flowers. Lower your feed dogs because the flower stitch will adjust the transportation of your fabric. Set your stitch length to zero, and reduce the upper thread to a looser setting. Bring your bobbin thread up to the top. Now you can start stitching. Don't use too complex stitches at the beginning — try the zig zag stitch, maybe overlock stitch, line and stitch, the serpentine stitch, and just continue until you have a circle. To lock your threads with your machine, set your machine to a straight stitch then with the tip of a screwdriver raise the ledge that drives the base of the foot and stitch in place for 4 to 5 stitches. If you want to stitch two circles for one flower, don't move your fabric — it is very, very difficult to find the center if you do — just loosen the screw, move the base of the flower, put to the plus or minus sign, and tighten the screw again. If you want to change the color of your upper track, try to do so without moving the fabric. Take the time to play with your foot on different scraps to get used to it and see what results you get with different stitches. It's best to use stabilizer for most fabrics and you can use all-purpose thread or machine embroidery threads. That's it! I hope my video helped you and you can start using the flower stitch for a new row and if you want to see what I made with it just watch my next video.

HOW to CROCHET the FLOWER STITCH — Stitchorama by Naztazia

Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com Today I'll show you how to crochet the flower stitch. For a sample start with the chain forty orany multiple of three plus one. Skip the first chain and single crochet in thenext chain and single crochet in each stitch across. When you get to the end chain one andturn your work. For this row just single crochet in each stitch across again. At the end of this row we're going toinsert the green color. Start your single crochet then finish it with the greenyarn. Chain 3 and turn. For this green row we're going to do av-stitch in the next stitch, which is a doublecrochet, chain one, and a double crochet. Then skip two stitches and in that thirdstitch do another V stitch, which is one double crochet, one chain, and one double crochet. Skip two stitches and in the next stitch do the V stitch again. Skip two stitches and continue with thispattern across the row. After your last V stitch make 1 double crochet in the verylast stitch but before we finish that stitch insert in the pink yarn. Chain 3and turn your work. In each of the center of the V stitches we're going to do athree double crochet puff stitch. To begin make a double crochet but don'tfinish it. Make a second double crochet but don't finish it. And then make athird double crochet without finishing it. Yarn over and draw your hook through allthe loops on your hook, then chain two. I'll show this again. Begin with thefirst double crochet, next a second double crochet, finally the third andfinal double crochet. Yarn over and draw through all of the loops on your hook. Then chain two. Continue with this three double crochet puff stitch pattern inthe middle of all of the V's across the row. At the end make a double crochet inthe very last stitch and switch back to the white yarn. Chain one and turn. Onthis row we'll start off with a single crochet in the first stitch then asingle crochet on the top of the flower. Then two single crochet stitches in theprevious chain two space, a single crochet on top of the flower, and twosingle crochet stitches in the chain two space. Continue making a single crocheton top of the flower and two single crochet stitches in each chain two spaceacross. At the end place one more single crochet in the last stitch, chain one, andturn. On this next row just make one single crochet in each stitch across. At the end we'll be switching back overto the green color again. Chain three and turn. For this row we'llrepeat what we did for the other green row. Do your V stitch in the next stitch. Skip two and another v-stitch. Once thisrow is complete follow it with the pink-flower row then two single crochetwhite yarn rows. Continue this for as long as you wish, ending with two single crochet rows. And that's how I make the flower stitch.

Hello, this is Risa from Anjurisa Welcome to my channel! In this video, I'm going to show you how to make this beautiful, pretty, yet so easy to make flower If this is your first time to my channel, please hit the SUBSCRIBE button It motivates me to keep making videos I use crepe fabric for this flower I like the texture of this fabric To make this flower, we need to cut the fabric with soldering iron into scallops shape like this If you haven't watched my tutorial about cutting fabric with soldering iron, please see the description below I even show how to make our own template The size is about 1/2" for the width of each scallop and 1" for the height Cut the fabric about 2" Now let's cut the fabric with soldering iron We heat up the soldering iron and start cutting with our template like this I use the width of the fabric Any fabric width is okay from 45"-60" Be careful because it's really really hot When you cut, not too slow and not too fast You can see the perfect shape here Cut this until the end of our fabric and I will do this in fast motion While I do this, I will tell a bit about soldering iron I searched all my templates from Google You can find this template with the keyword: "Scallop Template" What I love about soldering iron is it cuts and seals fabric at the same time You can use any fabric like satin, chiffon, organza, tulle, and many others But unfortunately it doesn't work on cotton fabric Another reason why I love soldering iron is with this soldering iron, we can cut any shape and any size from very tiny shape to big shape Crepe fabric is a little difficult to cut compared to chiffon, organza, and tulle fabric Now we have done the cutting You can see the perfect shape here and to gather the fabric, prepare needle and thread but to make it quick and fast, I will use sewing machine Now gather the fabric To arrange the flower, add a dab of glue and use tweezers to twist this Roll the fabric like this until the end Adjust a little Our beautiful and pretty flower is done Thanks for watching If you like this tutorial, please like, comment, share, and SUBSCRIBE!
